I'm Shannon, a child of God and a single work at home mom of a 6 year old boy. I recently left my full time job as a graphic designer at the local newspaper. I am now working from home full time as a virtual assistant and freelancing my design and desktop publishing skills.

My roots are planted in the past,
Though my life is changing fast,
Who I am is who I want to be.
A single mom, who works too hard,
Who loves her kids and never stops.
With gentle hands and the heart of a fighter.

How does a single mom stay home with her kids? With only one parent in the home and a one income family, working at home becomes a special challenge! Many single work at home moms often have to also work outside the home in a more traditional setting. But their goal is the same as any other work at home mom - to be home full time with their kids.
